Elements such as the uni-directional carbon sole, dual Boa register, and seamless upper make the Torch 3.0 efficient, comfortable, reliable, and high-performance. The Body Geometry method: evolution has brought us to walking, not cycling which could result in foot collapse, or misalignment of the foot, knee, and hip. The Torch 3.0, like all Body Geometry shoes, helps solve these problems with three patented technologies-the varus shim, the longitudinal arch, and the metatarsal support-to increase power on the pedals without suffering sports injuries. All of this is backed by scientific validation and two decades of experience in the field. Carbon Outsole: The Torch 3.0 has a lightweight uni-directional carbon outsole that provides balanced stiffness through the entire shoe, using less material and thus reducing overall weight. This sole provides very efficient power transfer, quite similar to that of the S-Works shoe. Large rubber inserts on the outsole, in the toe and heel provide stability and traction when you get off the bike to put your foot down at stoplights or to restart.
