Castelli SOG Espresso 2 jersey: performance and comfort for the gravel
The Jersey Castelli SOG Espresso 2 is the ideal choice for those who ride gravel cycling at both recreational and competitive levels. Designed with Castelli's proprietary Air_O Stretch fabric, this Jersey delivers exceptional breathability and a close fit that does not compromise freedom of movement. Weighing just 128 grams, the Jersey is particularly lightweight and versatile, suited to variable weather conditions with a thermal range between 18°C and 35°C. The full-length YKK® Vislon® zipper enables quick body-temperature regulation, while the raw-cut sleeve hems ensure maximum comfort during long rides.
Construction details and technical functionality
The Jersey incorporates technical solutions designed for use in gravel cycling and on mixed routes. The integrated reflective stripe improves visibility in low-light conditions, a key feature for those riding outside daylight hours. The pocket system is particularly well developed: three standard rear pockets for carrying snacks and tools, plus a fourth zippered security pocket dedicated to valuables. The waistband elastic with silicone gripper keeps the Jersey stable during movement, preventing unwanted shifting even off-road. UV protection with UPF 30 helps shield the skin from solar radiation during prolonged exposure.
Material specifications and design
The optimized fabric for aerodynamics offers a balanced compromise between wind resistance and breathability, an essential feature for multisport jerseys. The screen-printed graphic by Richard Pearce delivers a distinctive design without adding bulk to the garment. This Jersey is part of Castelli's SOG collection, a brand with established experience in sport cycling, and meets the needs of those seeking a complete technical garment, reliable in different usage conditions and with an optimal quality-to-weight ratio for enthusiasts of gravel and cycle touring.
