Santini Alpha Insulated vest: Performance and Thermal Insulation
The Santini Alpha Insulated vest is an advanced solution for those who ride cycling in variable conditions. Designed with cutting-edge technical materials, it combines thermal insulation and breathability in a single lightweight solution. The windproof outer fabric protects against the elements, while the hybrid construction with Polartec® Alpha™ and Merino wool actively regulates body temperature without adding weight. This thermoregulating technology helps keep the body dry even during intense efforts, quickly wicking moisture to the outside. Ideal for temperatures between +5°C and +15°C, the vest delivers reliable performance in any weather condition.
Material Innovation: Polartec® Alpha™ and Power Wool™
The hybrid structure uses Polartec® Alpha™ with Merino wool as the main layer, delivering warmth without bulk and optimal moisture management. The rear insert in Polartec® Power Wool™ provides additional insulation in the most exposed areas, retaining body heat while allowing excess moisture to dissipate. This combination of technical materials offers excellent breathability even during prolonged effort. The choice of Merino wool, naturally thermoregulating, ensures superior performance compared to traditional synthetic materials, keeping the skin comfortable and dry throughout the day.
Functionality and Ergonomic Design
The vest features a versatile configuration with four rear pockets, one of which has a zip for maximum security, and a front zip pocket for personal items. The long side zip makes it easy to put on and take off while maintaining wind protection, while the elastic lower back hem ensures a stable fit. Reflective details and the logo improve visibility in low-light conditions, a key element for cycling safety. The elastic-finished armhole provides a close fit without constriction, optimizing comfort during rides.
