Mavic Comete Ultimate Helmet: Aerodynamic Performance and CFD Technology
The Mavic Comete Ultimate Helmet represents the pinnacle of innovation in the high-performance road helmet segment. Developed through wind tunnel testing and CFD optimization, this model outperforms the 10 best World Tour helmets in terms of aerodynamic efficiency. Aerodynamic research has made it possible to achieve an average energy saving of 9 watts in the upright position, the configuration in which cyclists spend most of their riding time. In the aerodynamic position, performance increases further with an advantage of 7.5 watts over the direct competitor and 15 watts over the average of the tested helmets, translating into significant competitive benefits on long routes.
AeroFlow Technology and Active Ventilation System
The AeroFlow disruptors system is a key element in reducing aerodynamic drag, enabling savings of up to 5 watts by accelerating airflow before separation from the helmet. The AirChannel internal architecture, fully optimized through CFD simulations, integrates large front air intakes, deep internal channels, and efficient rear exhaust ports to maximize air circulation. This solution ensures superior active ventilation without compromising aerodynamic performance. The Coolmax padding, incorporated into the Mips® Air Node PRO system, effectively manages internal moisture while maintaining lasting thermal comfort even during intense and prolonged efforts.
Safety, Adjustment and Multi-Impact Protection
The helmet features the new RS360 adjustment system, which allows precise adaptability and a stable fit during high-speed riding on technical descents. The latest-generation Mips® Air Node Pro technology provides superior protection against rotational impacts, redirecting lateral forces that can cause brain injuries. The straps, made from lightweight material and fully adjustable, remain stable during riding and integrate perfectly with cycling glasses without discomfort or slippage. The low weight of 300g in size M makes it ideal for those seeking lightweight protection without sacrificing performance.
