RIDE DYNAMICS TUNING: Our Specialized Ride Dynamics team has developed the kinematics and refined the geometry to provide a responsive and lively bike, suitable for both technical singletracks and jumping down a flight of stairs. CUSTOMIZATION: Every STATUS 2 model is equipped with flip chips (located on the Horst pivot link, near the rear axle) that allow the rider to precisely adjust the frame geometry based on the desired riding style or terrain. The bikes are shipped in the high position, but by turning the flip chip, the bottom bracket is lowered by 8mm and a more relaxed head angle is created. Loosening them: the bottom bracket movement of 8 mm and the head tube angle will be more relaxed by half a degree.
