Prologo Scratch EVA saddle is the first ergonomic Prologo saddle dedicated to women. For years Prologo has studied the anatomy of the female body, in close collaboration with the best women's UCI Worldteam and UCI Continental Team, with a single ambitious goal: to guarantee every woman a true champion's ride. The precious collaboration with Marta, who used the prototypes of the new saddle incognito first in training and then in competition, helped Prologo to perfect the model day after day, up to the final success: the victories at the Amstel Gold Race and at the Freccia Vallone , conquered by Marta riding one of these prototypes! From these premises and these victories, the new Prologo Scratch EVA was born, an ergonomic saddle with a racing DNA made exclusively for the female world. Designed to support the performance of both Word Tour champions and the most demanding cyclists, looking for maximum comfort even for long rides. Specific anatomical shape for the female body The new Scratch EVA partially takes up the T-shape shape of the Scratch M5, a unisex multi-discipline saddle that has already distinguished itself at the highest levels on road and off-road, winning in recent years: two Tour de France, the Monumento Classics and several Cross Country World Cup races. However, the anatomical shape of the new Scratch EVA has been redesigned to better adapt to the female body, moving the "anatomical center" of the saddle forward by 5mm. This solution allows the seat to move forward, thus increasing the support surface for the female pelvis, which is generally wider than the male one. The result? A new saddle that is still highly performing, but even more comfortable, with compact dimensions (245mm x 140mm) which however allow good freedom of movement for pedaling with maximum efficiency in every position, from the most relaxed to the most aggressive. Variable density padding and central channel The name EVA, in addition to a clear reference to the prima donna, also derives from the padding material, made with EVA foams with variable densities based on the different areas of the saddle. In the back, where the sit bones rest, the padding is thicker and made with a high-density foam, able to offer the greatest possible support. In the central and front part, where the soft tissues rest, there is instead a thinner padding, made with a low-density foam to minimize pressure peaks. This difference in thicknesses and densities creates a channel in the center of the saddle, with a large, extremely soft support surface. A targeted design choice to adapt and optimize seating according to the female anatomy, thus eliminating numbness, pain and possible reductions in blood flow. Under the central channel, the Scratch EVA also features Prologo's characteristic Active Base System: a base with a hole in the center, which allows you to further release pressure and thus increase pedaling comfort. Finally, the front end of the saddle was widened by about 10 mm and angled downwards, to guarantee a good support surface even in those situations, such as the steepest climbs, in which it is necessary to pedal while sitting on the tip. Like most Prologo saddles, the Scratch EVA is also available in several versions to adapt to different needs. For the more performance-oriented cyclists who are looking for a rigid saddle and maximum lightness, the version with Nack rail (Nano Carbon Fiber) is available, made up of carbon fibre, Kevlar and aluminum filaments. A rail already widely adopted by Prologo for all top-of-the-range models, which reduces the overall weight of the saddle to 183 gr. For those looking for greater comfort, the second version is available, weighing 232gr, with TiroX rail in light alloy steel, a material with an excellent balance between weight and resistance, which gives the saddle less rigidity and superior vibration absorption.
