Prologo saddles equipped with the revolutionary CPC technology, characterized by the use of three-dimensional conical nano-structures to improve grip and vibration absorption, marked a turning point for the company. Motivated by a desire to innovate, they decided to extend the use of three-dimensional technology to the entire surface of the saddle, resulting in the NAGO R4 PAS 3DMSS: an ultralight model enhanced by an innovative cover designed based on pressure test analysis to deliver unprecedented performance.

The NAGO R4 PAS 3DMSS retains the ergonomic T-shape shape and compact dimensions (245x137 mm) of its predecessor, the NAGO R4, making it a next-generation multi-discipline saddle already chosen by world-class cyclists such as Tadej Pogacar, Mark Cavendish, Geraint Thomas, Pello Bilbao and Alberto Bettiol.

This new model is the result of Prologo's exclusive analysis of Prologo's "Pressure Map MyOwn" pressure mapping tests, which scientifically examined the areas of pressure exerted on the saddle by professional and amateur cyclists. Thanks to the data collected, an exceptionally lightweight 3D saddle was designed with a segmented cover capable of adapting perfectly to the various pressure zones, ensuring optimal support and comfort at every stage of pedaling.

The NAGO R4 PAS 3DMSS cover combines MSS - Multi Sector System technology with state-of-the-art 3D printing techniques, creating five independent sectors per side. Each sector is designed to respond specifically to the pressures exerted, adapting to the cyclist's morphology. These sectors feature complex geometric shapes, varying densities and coefficients of elasticity, designed to provide tailored support and comfort:

• The high-density, high-elasticity rear section provides significant support to the ischial bones, facilitating thrust during pedaling;
• The three middle sections, with low density and a medium coefficient of elasticity, are designed to maximize comfort in areas of soft tissue contact;
• The front section, of medium density and low coefficient of elasticity, provides good support even in a forward position on the saddle.

The goal of reducing weight, a common challenge for 3D saddles, was achieved through pressure test analysis, identifying less pressure-prone areas and optimizing the use of materials without sacrificing comfort or performance. The use of long-fiber carbon and a Nack (Nano Carbon Fiber) rail helped further reduce overall weight while maintaining high stiffness. The result is a saddle that weighs only 149 grams, setting a new lightweight benchmark for 3D saddles on the market.
