The Zipp 454 NSW Tubeless Disc-brake wheels are the ultimate road racing wheelset. These wheels offer everything an experienced cyclist desires. They are aerodynamically efficient and stable in all wind conditions. Additionally, a wider rim is designed for lower pressure tubeless tires, reducing rolling resistance and vibration damping, allowing for the least amount of energy loss on the road. For the best combination of aerodynamics and increased rolling resistance, the use of 28 mm tires on this wheel is recommended. Its 58 mm Sawtooth rim with Hyperfoils is our most aerodynamic and stable wheel. The 454 NSW features Zipp's Total System Efficiency (TSE) technology, our approach to combating the main enemies of speed: wind resistance, gravity, rolling resistance, and vibration losses. The use of hookless (straight side) rims in the 454 NSW is integral to our "Making You Faster" approach. With hookless technology, the transition between tire and rim is smoother and more aerodynamic. Zipp's hookless rims offer a more efficient resin distribution, resulting in lighter and stronger wheels. The 454 NSW is equipped with the ZR1 SL race hub set with ceramic bearings and 66 engagement points. The hub set is also 30 g lighter than the previous model of the NSW wheels.
