Barbieri Anaconda MTB Inserts: advanced tubeless protection for mountain bikes
Anaconda inserts are an innovative solution for those who ride mountain bikes on technical and rough terrain. This complete set includes 2 inserts and 2 35 mm Carbonaria carbon valves, specifically designed for tubeless wheels in size 29x2.2-2.7. The integrated Run Flat technology lets you keep riding even in the event of a puncture, eliminating the risk of dangerous pressure loss that could cause crashes on descents. Thanks to the insert structure, it is possible to reduce the amount of sealant by 20-30% while maintaining superior performance.
Compatibility and technical specifications of the MTB insert
Anaconda inserts are compatible with rims with an internal width from 20 to 35 mm, ensuring versatility across different wheel setups. The 29x2.2-2.7 size is ideal for medium-sized tires, while the low weight of the XS version (80 grams in size 27.5) ensures minimal impact on the bike’s overall weight. The 35 mm Carbonaria carbon valves offer durability and long-term reliability, reducing the risk of premature wear. This setup is particularly suitable for those looking for a lightweight and durable solution for their tubeless configuration.
Benefits of puncture protection for off-road cycling
Using Anaconda inserts significantly reduces the risk of bead unseating and rim damage, common issues in MTB cycling on singletrack and rocky terrain. The Run Flat function allows you to reach your destination or the nearest service point even with a damaged tire, without compromising safety. In addition, the ability to run slightly lower pressures improves grip and comfort on uneven surfaces, while the reduction in sealant simplifies routine maintenance of tubeless wheels.
