Emergency 3 Rain Shell: Waterproof Protection for Cyclists
The Emergency 3 Rain Shell is a waterproof shell jacket designed to provide total protection during cycling rides. Made with 3-layer Castelli Deluge fabric, it delivers a 20,000 mm water column that ensures complete waterproofing even in heavy rain. The inner layer in Jersey polyester keeps skin contact comfortable, while the stretch fit allows freedom of movement without restriction. Ideal both for sudden weather emergencies and everyday use, this shell is a reliable solution for cyclists seeking uncompromising protection.
Packability and Ease of Use
One of the standout features of the Emergency 3 Rain Shell is its high packability, allowing the garment to be stowed in a Jersey pocket or a bikepacking bag without adding bulk. The low weight of just 215 grams makes it extremely light and easy to carry on long rides. The taped seams provide all-day water protection, eliminating the weak points typical of traditional jackets. The waterproof zipper adds an additional level of protection, preventing water ingress even at the front closure.
Visibility and Temperature Range
The shell features 360° reflectivity, which significantly increases rider visibility in low-light conditions and during evening hours. The temperature range from 5°C to 18°C makes it suitable for transitional seasons and cool days, when protection from wind and moisture becomes essential. The close yet not restrictive fit, thanks to the fabric’s stretch, ensures the garment does not bind while riding, maintaining comfort even during prolonged efforts.
