Women’s Emergency 3 Rain Cape: waterproof protection for cycling
The Emergency 3 Rain women’s cape is a waterproof shell jacket designed to deliver total protection during bike rides and outdoor activities. Made with the 3-layer Castelli Deluge fabric, it provides a 20,000 mm waterproof rating that ensures waterproof performance even in heavy rain. The three-layer construction combines lightness and packability, allowing the garment to be easily stowed in a Jersey pocket or a bikepacking bag. The polyester Jersey inner layer offers comfort during extended wear, while the stretch fit adapts to the body without feeling restrictive.
Technical features and performance in adverse conditions
This rain cape has been developed to provide emergency protection during sudden downpours and everyday use. The taped seams ensure all-day water protection, eliminating the weak points typical of conventional jackets. The waterproof zipper prevents water ingress, while 360° reflectivity enhances visibility in low-light conditions. Its low weight of 189 grams makes it ideal for road cycling and bikepacking, where every gram counts. The thermal comfort range is 5°C to 18°C, making it perfect for mid-season rides and mountain outings.
Functional design and extreme packability
The Emergency 3 Rain cape is the ideal solution for those who practice cycle touring and need an easily transportable garment. Its high packability significantly reduces bulk, taking up minimal space in a backpack or in the Jersey pockets. The close-fitting yet non-restrictive fit guarantees freedom of movement while pedaling, while the fabric’s stretch prevents annoying pressure points. Available in Light Black, the neutral Color pairs easily with any cycling outfit, maintaining a professional and modern look.
