During the development of HALO™ Wet Lube, particular attention was paid to minimizing friction and wet adhesion. Innovative new technologies, combined with exclusive ingredients, ensure the perfect result. For example, a hydrodynamic liquid film (gas-to-liquid) is synthesized from a high-quality natural gas, which envelops the chain like a thin veil. This increases sliding properties and guarantees low noise levels. At the same time, it offers excellent adhesion even in rainy and wet conditions, meaning maintenance intervals can be significantly extended. Thanks to its spherical shape, the contained tungsten also creates a rolling effect, ensuring smoother operation, especially under high torque, such as on steep climbs or during sprints. A non-stick protective layer is created by ceramic boron nitride plates, allowing the protective particles to simply roll away. This guarantees optimal all-around protection and significantly reduces wear susceptibility. Application is also very simple and clean. The screw-on Smart Luber™ practically eliminates the risk of overdosing. As with all lubricants, the chain must obviously be thoroughly cleaned beforehand. Then shake the bottle well, open the valve, and position the Smart Luber™ upside down on the chain above the horizontal chainstay. Press lightly to release the wax from the bottle and pedal backward about 4 - 6 times. Repeat these steps once more under the horizontal chainstay and let the wax dry for 6 - 10 hours. After that, you will be happy with the new performance. But it’s not just your bike that benefits from the HALO™ series. Environmental aspects were also considered during the development process: the products are fluorine-free and contain no hazardous volatile organic compounds (VOCs). And if anything spills, there’s no need to panic: the lubricants are rapidly biodegradable in soil.
