The DT SWISS Ratchet System SL 54-Tooth Maintenance Kit allows the freewheel body to be overhauled in the best possible way. In the DT Swiss Ratchet System, each tooth engages with its front surface in an opposite disc tooth (engagement angle). This generates lower point loads than the triangular ratchet system. This results in the legendary reliability of Ratchet System hubs and the unmistakable sound when the pulleys are turned against each other. For cyclists, it is important that power is immediately converted into propulsion when starting off. For this reason, DT Swiss pulleys are available with different numbers of teeth and corresponding engagement angles. The smaller the engagement angle of the timing belt pulleys, the less idle travel is available when pedaling.
