The Cervelo S5 represents the global standard for aerodynamic performance in competitive cycling, confirmed by the success of elite athletes such as Wout van Aert and Simon Yates on the biggest international stages. The new generation evolves the iconic fork and V-shaped handlebar design, reducing weight by 124 grams and improving efficiency by more than 6 watts compared with the previous version. These advances come from significant structural changes at the front: the fork blades and head tube have been redesigned with more pronounced profiles, while the handlebar and stem are now a single integrated piece, optimized for maximum speed without compromising handling and stability.

Aerodynamic development and wind tunnel optimization

Cervélo and Reserve worked together to develop the Reserve 57|64 Turbulent Aero wheels, specifically designed in the wind tunnel together with the S5 frame to ensure total synergy between components. The one-piece handlebar-stem system represents a major step forward in aerodynamic solutions, but its effectiveness depends on the rider’s ergonomic fit. For this reason, Cervélo offers nine different integrated handlebar size combinations, available free of charge at authorized retailers to ensure maximum comfort and personalized performance.
