The Princeton Peak 4550 EVO Disc wheels raise the bar again by borrowing improvements from the Wake 6560 Evolution and Alta 3532, Peak 4550 Evolution. The internal width of the rim has been increased to 21 mm internal (28.2 mm external) while the weight of the rim has been reduced to 420 g. Stiffness and balance are increased, thanks to our patented staggered radial lacing, and aerodynamic efficiency also improves. Now, the Peak 4550 Evolution features a graphic design similar to the Wake 6560 Evolution, creating harmony for staggered Peak/Wake sets. The Peak 4550 Evolution will continue to have a tubeless ready, hooked tire bed, without holes, that can accommodate clincher/tube or tubeless tires without the need for tape and without tire pressure restrictions. Competitors' hookless rims, while cheaper to produce and lighter, have proven to be problematic and potentially dangerous, especially regarding tire choice and tire pressure limits. Princeton CarbonWorks firmly believes that a hooked rim represents the safest and fastest solution for road riding and racing. All configurations come with Sapim CX-Ray spokes with a selection of White Industries, DT Swiss, Chris King, and Tactic Racing hubs available. As with the Wake 6560 Evolution, 10 color and finish options are available.
