FFWD RYOT55: the new law on aerodynamic road wheels. Setting the goal of bringing the fastest wheel out there, FFWD has developed a new rim profile called LAW Tech. LAW is short for 'Laminar Airflow Wing' and was specially developed to provide better aerodynamics when using wider tyres by creating a smooth airflow. The first results have already been shown in the previously launched RYOT44 model, which aims to all-round performance and utility. Now we are introducing the fastest road wheel in circulation, the RYOT55! It outperforms its competitors in real conditions proven in wind tunnel tests. With the LAW tech rim profile, the RYOT55 offers an aerodynamic advantage of 5 watts on tires with a width of 25 mm, since its predecessor, the F6 with DARC technology, was more suitable with 23 mm tires.
Compared to most common competitors around RYOT55, wind tunnel tests showed an average advantage of between 1.5 and 2.7 Watts. RYOT55 sets the standard in aerodynamic road wheels. By taking the RYOT55 on the go, these watt savings result in the same result as you save some energy, or you can go faster by putting in the same energy as before.
