Total control, generous suspension and adjustable geometry are the highlights of the new Stumpjumper EVO Expert. Add quality performance components and you get a perfect companion on the trail. The Stumpjumper EVO with the 29" wheels on the front provides perfect traction, while the 27.5 wheel on the rear makes it more maneuverable and playful, perfect for bike park or trail fun, for example. Suspension travel is useless without the right kinematics, and we kept that very much in mind in the design of the Stumpjumper EVO. With what we learned in the development of the Enduro and with more than 1,000 hours of testing in the field and in the lab, we greatly improved the ride and created the capable, efficient, lively feel that everyone appreciates. We increased the anti-squat so the suspension better resists bobbing, and we also improved shock absorption on angular obstacles. In short, the Stumpjumper descends with complete control and climbs with agility. The Stumpjumper EVO's "S-Sizing" geometry is the most progressive. Long, low, relaxed, short offset fork, a steeper seatpost-make you ride better. But the perfect geometry can be different for different bikers, which is why for the Stumpjumper EVO you can adjust it to six different positions. Not only can you raise the bottom bracket by 10mm, you can also adjust the head angle by up to two degrees. Rider-First Engineered™ technology is a size-specific approach to design to ensure the same ride characteristics for all sizes. So if you're not quite a giant and you pedal an S1, or, if you need the long S6 instead, you'll tackle turns with the same confidence, with an equivalent balance of stiffness, all at the lightest weight possible. In 2016 we introduced the SWAT™ compartment in the Stumpjumper's frame, so you can store pumpettes or anything else to repair a puncture. Now, for the Stumpjumper, we have increased the space again, introducing a receptacle, the SWAT™ Bladder, that allows you to carry 650 ml of water in the down tube-the same amount as a water bottle.
