The distinctive signature of the wheels, are the spokes: thanks to the G3 spoking method, the structure achieves extreme stiffness while minimizing the dispersion of power discharged by the cyclist onto the bike. At the same time, the technology applied in the construction of the rims allows for an excellent control experience so much so that it sculpts the ideal trajectory. In addition, Bora's new rims feature a 23-millimeter inner channel optimized for higher class tires than previous models, thus ensuring a wider ground contact for the benefit of aerodynamics and trajectory control. But it is the aerodynamics that makes Bora wheels a high-end solution: the integration between rim and tire is designed to have a teardrop-shaped profile, resulting in a more dynamic airflow. In fact, front wind resistance is 13 percent lower than the previous model, while with 15-degree crosswinds it drops by up to 80 percent. On the lightweight front, the weight of the rims has been reduced by up to 135 grams compared to the previous version, thanks to the adoption of advanced engineering solutions such as HULC (Handmade Ultra-Light Carbon) molding, which allows for an optimal balance between carbon fiber and resin. A reduction that did not compromise performance in the three typical pedaling conditions: trail, uphill and downhill.
